I can't believe I'm doing this!  You're probably wondering what I'm talking about so let me explain.  Well, you all know I homeschool K and during this time I've been sharing pretty much everything we do on my Instagram stories.

I've had so many messages and DM's from so many of my followers telling me to share more or even have a separate space to share everything I do with K.  I'll be honest with you, although I do have another account where I started sharing some snippets of our homeschool, I found that I just couldn't keep up!

Everything I do, I share on Love Hijab, so how do I clear my headspace to make sense of what to share on this account and the other one?  I haven't used my homeschool account for a while, I'm most certainly not consistent on it and I struggle to decide what to post, so I've never shared it.  I can't post the same thing on both accounts either.  Not to mention with the Instagram algorithm constantly changing, growing the account and reaching out to more people is going to be a job in itself.  I don't think I have the time and energy for it.

So I've decided to stop using the homeschool account, not that I was using it anyway, but it's time to lay it to rest and forget about it.  I mean, I have a Love Hijab Girl account for my blog that's pretty dormant too so that says it all doesn't it?  Instead, I'm going to focus on sharing it on one account and that's going to be right here on Love Hijab and my Love Hijab Youtube channel!

There, I said it!  Yes, I said Youtube channel!  I'm going to be making homeschool videos for the Love Hijab youtube channel!  That's the bit that I'm most nervous about.  Public speaking.  It's something I find super difficult to do.  I know I make the style videos but there's very limited talking to do in them.  And these homeschool vlogs are a whole different ball game.  But I'm glad that I've come to a point in our homeschool journey where I finally know enough to be able to talk about it and share it with you confidently.   As in, I know what I'm talking about!   I'm still so nervous and feel like backing out but deep down I know I'll be glad I did it.

I know it's crazy, but I think it's time I listened to you lovely lot.  You guys have been so encouraging and always make me feel like I'm doing the right thing on the days where I start doubting myself.  I do worry if I'm teaching K what she needs to know.  I worry if she's missing out.  I worry what could happen.  But when I read all your lovely messages, you reassure me that I'm doing just fine.

When I first started homeschooling, I searched for videos like the one's I'll be sharing.  Something that showed me a bit more than just a Day in The Life style vlog.  I needed to see what homeschool was and what kind of lessons were being taught each day to get my head round it all.  So that it made sense to me.  But I couldn't find anything like that.  I had so many questions that needed answers.  It would have made so much more sense to me and I wouldn't have felt so lost.  I did find my way eventually though.  But I think it's time to share the type of videos I was searching for, for someone out there that may be looking for the very same thing that I was just over a year ago.

I'll be sharing a weekly vlog with you that shows what we plan to do each day.  I'll explain the lessons in detail and I'll also be doing a short review of how the lessons went as well.  All our homeschool vlogs will be uploaded on a Sunday so you guys can relax and watch them, make notes (if you want to) and take it all in.  So for now I'll be uploading homeschool vlogs and if you like them and don't find the sound of my voice annoying I might just make more lifestyle videos, tutorials and add a few more style videos too.
