Do you remember the Ramadan Collection by DKNY last year?  It was a beautiful collection of modest pieces and this year, the American fashion house, Oscar De La Renta has unveiled an exclusive collection of caftans, just in time for the holy month of Ramadan.

This collection is perfect for Ramadan and Eid with it's intricate embroidery in a range of luxurious shades of the most finest fabrics.

It's nice to know that designers are taking the modern Muslim woman into consideration, but I can't quite help but feel as though this is maybe just another opportunity to cash in on the special occasion.  It would be wonderful if they could incorporate modest wear into their collections throughout the rest of the year too, since it's not just Ramadan and Eid when this type of clothing is worn.  I wouldn't mind seeing more.
What do you think of this collection?
