It's been three years since I visited Marrakech and I thought I would share with you some of my pictures of The Marjorelle Gardens.  I had the chance to visit the twelve acre botanical garden owned by Yves Saint Laurent.

The garden is beautiful with lovely cacti and greenery against the cobalt blue and yellow of the art deco building.  It's so peaceful that you can hear the gentle stream of water from the fountain.  There are plenty of pathways guiding you around the garden making it an enjoyable walk to the sound of the birds singing in the trees around you.

The garden also houses the Islamic Art Museum of Marrakech, which also has YSL's personal collection as well as ceramics, jewellery and paintings.  We weren't allowed to take any pictures inside but I have plenty of the lush garden.  Here they are, enjoy.

The garden is quite big and it can get very busy.  But there are plenty of nooks and quiet spots where you can sit and enjoy the view or even read a book and have some relaxing time to yourself.

I would definitely recommend you visit if you ever visit Marrakech.
